About
I am a postgraduate researcher at the Psychometric & Computational Modeling Lab (PI: Inhan Kang), Department of Psychology, Yonsei University. I hold an M.S. in Psychology from Yonsei University, a B.A. in Psychology, and a B.S. in Computer Science and Engineering from Seoul National University.
My research aims to quantify and interpret the underlying processes that give rise to psychological phenomena. I work broadly across computational modeling (reinforcement learning, sequential sampling models), joint behavioral–neural modeling, and machine learning, selecting methods based on the mechanisms I am trying to uncover in a given psychological process. I am particularly interested in integrating behavioral data with neural data to build more complete, mechanistically grounded accounts of cognition and behavior. More broadly, I am motivated by the question of how psychological science itself can be made more rigorous and cumulative, particularly through advances in model validation and interpretable methods.
